Memorial Day is May 25th. Here is a poem honoring this impending National Holiday...
In 1915, Moina Michael penned a poem ("We Shall Keep the Faith") honoring the fallen soldiers remembered on Memorial Day:
"And now the Torch and Poppy red
We wear in honour of our dead.
Fear not that ye have died for naught;
We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought
In Flanders Fields."

Wow! I'm really pleased for you! I hope that it continues to go well. 125 miles is a bit of a drive, but hopefully things will work out for you to live closer. At any rate, I'm glad that you got such a good one! I'm currently working on moving back to Sweden for health reasons, and am hoping to find something there soon!

Mike,
Great to hear from you. Yes, it is challenging right now to find a new job opportunity. I have many friends who were laid off and is trying to find any worthy possiblity. I am positive that you will dfind something soon. Glad to hear of the value of familiy revitalization on your part. Many of us didn't realize that 'family and friends value' when we are all working for someone and very focused on our job everyday but at the end .. we end up -'just one of those workers' despite of dedication and loyalty to that job. Don't lose your hope .. keep optimistic ..
The latest photos on my recent activities were shared at my album. Do check it out. Also, read the latest Edition of our Newsletter - The JuNcTion. It is located at: http://www.jntconsulting.com/news.htm or you can also read it via JNTC Articles (http://jntconsulting.blogspot.com)

Yes, I'm a Brit. I did live over there on that side of the pond for awhile, but am back home now. There's no place like home, no matter how beautiful other places are!

Hi, Mike. I'm very sorry to hear of your situation, though it is a very common one around the globe at the moment. Downsizing and redundancies (what you call layoffs) are common everywhere in the world, as I'm seeeing from here. I do wish sincerely that I could offer work, but all I can offer is support. We have a jobseekers group, a jobseekers section in the news channel, and a job centre. People have posted in various groups asking for leads on work, and I'm certainly never going to discourage that, as long as it isn't too aggressive, because everyone needs all the help they can get. I'm not familiar enough with your geography in that part of the country to know what major areas are around you, but everyone is expanding their work search area at the moment as much as they can. Participating here and networking is certainly one way to noticed. I wish you the best.
